4X4 Trail Details (Mostly Gravel Road):
This trail is for some off-road experience and a stunning view for a quick break, drink or picnic.
- Vehicle Requirements: 4×4 with diff-lock and low range only
- Not Allowed: 2×4 and all-wheel-drive vehicles
- Distance: +/- 5 km
- Speed Limit: 10 km/h
- Duration: +/- 0.5 – 1.5 hours
- Altitude: 155m – 350m
- GPS coordinates: South 34.01.57.3 East 18.50.01.3 at starting point
- Road Surface: Mainly gravel with 2 sections paved surface.
- Points of Interest: Stunning views over False Bay and the Cape Peninsula from the viewpoint.
- Difficulty: Grade 2 – 4 difficulty
- Open: Daily from 08:00 – 15:00 (red sections closed in case of rain)
- We have two sections available, the red section and the blue section. The Blue section is the basic route, with the Red section being more difficult and advanced which requires higher level of skills (experienced drivers only).
- Costs:
- R200 per vehicle
- Kindly note that the trail gate strictly close at 17:00. Any vehicles still on trail after 17:00 will be liable for a release fee of R500.
Viewpoint Trail Details (Paved Road):
This trail is for a stunning view only (quick break, drink or picnic), no off-road experience.
- Vehicle Requirements: Any standard vehicle with medium clearance.
- Distance: +/- 4 km
- Speed Limit: 35 km/h
- Duration: +/- 10 – 30min
- Altitude: 155m – 350m
- GPS coordinates: South 34.01.57.3 East 18.50.01.3 at starting point
- Road Surface: Completely paved from starting point to viewpoint.
- Points of Interest: Stunning views over False Bay and the Cape Peninsula
- Difficulty: None
- Open: Daily from 08:00 – 15:00
- Costs:
- R100 per vehicle
- Kindly note that the trail gate strictly close at 17:00. Any vehicles still on trail after 17:00 will be liable for a release fee of R500.

No drinking and driving allowed.
