Helderberg Farm is well known for its family friendly environment.
At Helderberg Farm we have a lovely Tea Garden in the rustic old Cape Dutch style. Relax with a cup of our famous filter coffee and a slice of Ruda’s homemade Chocolate Cake or Baked Cheesecake (limited stock). Enjoy a triple sandwich or a scone with Ruda’s homemade strawberry jam. You may be seated outside in the warm sunshine or under the shady trees, overlooking the beautiful garden and the grassy children’s playground. While parents relax outside, the children can play to their hearts delight in the playground.
During winter time, you can warm up by our cozy fireplace in Die Stal (capacity 30) which is also available for functions and conferences. In the Tea Garden you will find all the information you need about the facilities and activities available on our farm, including permits for hiking, mountain biking, picnic & braai, strawberry picking (seasonal) and the 4×4 route.
Bring your toddlers to spend some time in the Playpark or enjoy a real old farm experience in the Animal Farmyard with the chickens, doves, bunnies, ducks and goats. Animal feed available at the Tea Garden.
The Playpark is a private fenced off area which makes it safe for the toddlers to enjoy. The Playpark can be booked for kiddies’ parties aged 0 – 5 and private venues are available for kiddies’ parties aged 6 – 18.

Dogs: Yes, we are dog-friendly. Please register your dog and purchase your dog’s life permit at the Tea Garden upon arrival.
